มีประโยคที่น่าสนใจในเพลง Life is Wonderful ก็คือ

It takes an egg to make a hen… It takes a hen to make an egg… There is no end to what I'm saying... ท่อนนี้สอนให้รู้ว่า ฝรั่งก็ยังหาคำตอบไม่ได้ว่า ไก่กับไข่อะไรเกิดก่อนกัน อ๊ะ ไม่ช้ายยยย...  ตีความได้ว่า สิ่งต่างๆนั้น จะหมุนเวียนเปลี่ยนไป ไม่มีที่สิ้นสุด (เหมือนไก่กับไข่นั่นเอง) ต้องมีไก่ จึงจะมีไข่ และต้องมีไข่ จึงจะมีไก่...

It takes some work to make it work... สังเกตประโยคที่ผ่านๆมา จะเป็นในลักษณะที่ว่า It takes N. to make N. แต่ในประโยคนี้ เป็น It takes N. to make it V. โดยที่บังเอิญ work N. กับ work V. ยังเขียนเหมือนกันอีก คำว่า work ตัวแรก เราก็รู้จักดีว่าแปลว่า การทำงาน หรือแปลว่าความพยายาม (ในการทำงาน) ก็ได้ (effort) ส่วน work ตัวที่ 2 โดยทั่วไป แปลว่า ทำงาน แต่เมื่ออยู่กับ it ก็จะกลายเป็น it works คือ ทำสำเร็จ หรือเกิดผล ประโยคนี้จึงขอแปลว่า ต้องใช้ความพยายาม เพื่อที่จะทำให้สำเร็จ

ท่อนอื่นๆของเพลงจะไปในแนวทางเดียวกันหมดนะคะ คือต้องมีสิ่งหนึ่ง จึงเกิดอีกสิ่งหนึ่ง โดยใช้คำ 2 คำ ที่ทั้งไปในทางเดียวกัน (ดังที่กล่าวด้านบน) เช่น It takes a thought to make a word...  ต้องมีความคิดจึงเกิดคำพูดได้

กับคำที่ขัดแย้งกัน คือในลักษณะที่ว่าหากเกิดสิ่งนี้ ก็จะทำให้เข้าใจในอีกสิ่งหนึ่ง หรือ ทำให้เกิดสิ่งตรงข้าม เช่น It takes some silence to make sound... คือเมื่อเกิดความเงียบ จึง เกิด เสียง... ขออีกสักประโยค  It takes some bad for satisfaction... เมื่อเคยสัมผัสสิ่งเลวร้ายมาบ้าง จะทำให้เราเรียนรู้ถึงความพึงพอใจ (ได้ง่ายขึ้น) .......  ค
 
ก่อนจะดูศัพท์สำนวน จะขอพูดถึงท่อนที่ประทับใจส่วนตัวจัง นั่นก็คือ

story ปกติ แปลว่า เรื่องราว และอีกความหมายที่หลายๆคนอาจจะยังไม่รู้ คือแปลว่า ชั้นของอาคาร ได้ด้วยนะคะ
      ตัวอย่าง It takes two floors to make a story... แปลได้ว่า เราก็ต้องมีพื้น 2 พื้นขึ้นไป ถึงจะสามารถเรียกได้ว่ามันเป็นชั้น นะคะ ก็คือถ้ามีพื้นเดียว มันก็ไม่แสดงความเป็นชั้นออกมา จริงไหม

wonderful มหัศจรรย์ ยอดเยี่ยม น่าพิศวง ดีเยี่ยม
